Stacey A. Cozewith, Esq. focuses her practice on family law-related matters and has been a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association since 2004. Stacey uses her expertise to offer a unique balance of compassion and tenacity, while being a very strong advocate for her clients going through divorce and other family law-related matters. Stacey handles a variety of family law issues, including, but not limited to divorce, prenuptial agreements, alimony, child support, custody and equitable distribution.
As a partner at the firm, Stacey’s time has been devoted exclusively to family law-related cases. Stacey served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Thomas H. Dilts, Presiding Judge Family Part, Somerset County, from September 2004 through August 2005. She earned her Juris Doctorate from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark in 2004, where she was the secretary for the Women's Law Forum from 2002 to 2003. She received her B.A. in Political Science in 2001 from The Johns Hopkins University, where she volunteered as a caseworker for the House of Ruth Domestic Violence Legal Services Clinic for two years. She also was a member of the Hopkins Organization for Programming from 1998 to 2001, ultimately serving as director.
Stacey is admitted to the New Jersey State Bar, New York State Bar and the United States District Court, District of New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Somerset County Bar Association, Essex County Bar Association and the Somerset County Family Law Inns of Court. Stacey is also a certified mediator for the State of New Jersey and has been included in the New Jersey Super Lawyers Rising Stars list published by Thomson Reuters from 2009- 2013. Stacey serves as a Trustee of the Somerset County Bar Foundation, is a board member of the Children’s Hope Initiative of the Friends of Somerset County Youth, and has been recognized as one of New Jersey’s Women Leaders in Law for 2012.
