Joseph Maceri, Esq. is a partner at Snyder Sarno D'Aniello Maceri da Costa LLC and manages the firm’s Hackensack office.
He received his Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University, College of Law and received his Bachelors of Arts in Political Science from William Paterson University of New Jersey. Mr. Maceri also studied comparative constitutional and international law abroad at the University of Toronto, in Toronto, Canada and at Oxford University, Magdalen College, in Oxford, England.
During his second year of law school, the Supreme Court of New Jersey granted Mr. Maceri permission to represent indigent clients and appear in Court on their behalf while working as a law clerk for Bergen County Legal Services.
After receiving his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Maceri returned to Hackensack to serve as a judicial law clerk for the 2002-2003 court term. He clerked in the Family Division for the Honorable Sebastian Gaeta, Jr., J.S.C., Judge of the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen County Vicinage. Upon completion of his judicial clerkship, Mr. Maceri entered private practice and continued his focus on family law and related matters. He is listed New Jersey Super Lawyers-Rising Stars from 2011 through present as a family law attorney. In 2013, Mr. Maceri was also honored and recognized as a recipient of Who’s Who among Italian American Professionals for his outstanding service to the community. In 2014, Mr. Maceri received the top 40 under 40 from NJBIZ as one of most accomplished young professionals in New Jersey. Mr. Maceri is also recognized as top 40 under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers and ten leaders in Matrimonial & Divorce Law age 45 and under.
Mr. Maceri is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association, Bergen County Bar Association, the New Jersey Bar Association Family Law Committee, and the Bergen County Bar Association Family Law Committee. He is a barrister for the Barry Croland Family Inn of Court and volunteers as an expert panelist for the Passaic County and Bergen County Superior Courts for the Early Settlement Programs.
In addition, Mr. Maceri is an active member in his community. He is serving his second term as councilman for the Township of Little Falls and serves as the Council’s Domestic Violence Liaison for the Domestic Violence Prevention Committee. He is also a member of the Little Falls Athletic Club, and served on their Executive Board. In addition, Mr. Maceri is a member of Cedar Grove UNICO and served as their vice president and their general counsel.
